It’s A Family Affair (Part 6)
Now we’re going to be continuing on but not finishing up our series titled It’s a Family Affair. Before we do that, we’re going to do what we always do. Let’s take a moment and acknowledge God because apart from Him, we can do nothing. Through Him, we can do all things so we’re going to humble ourselves and do that. I thank you, Heavenly Father, for the opportunity to get at the feet of your son, Jesus, to hear Him. I pray that you, the Father of Glory, may give to each and every one of us the spirit of wisdom, revelation and the knowledge of Jesus. Let the eyes of our understanding be enlightened that we may know what the hope of His calling is, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe according to the working of His mighty power.
I ask you, Lord Jesus Christ, to expound on the scriptures to us about the things concerning yourself and I thank you, Heavenly Father, for your promise. The spirit of truth will lead and guide you into all truth and teach you all things putting you in remembrance of what Jesus said. I pray, Heavenly Father, that I say be it unto us according to your word. I pray God over your church beloved. I pray above all things that you will prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers in the name of Jesus. I pray to God that you will gather us under your wings and protect us and our whole house and our possessions according to your perfect will.
Let the blood of your Son Jesus speak for us. Those better things you promise on this better covenant God through His shed blood. I thank you, Heavenly Father, for every promise and all the provision you have made when we get at the feet of your son, Jesus and allow Him to expound on the scriptures to us about the things concerning himself when you unveil Him God before our eyes when you call us to know Him more. I thank you, Daddy, that each and every promise you have made. All the desires of your heart will be fulfilled in our life and our whole house, God. As we do this and get at your feet, I thank you, Lord, for you are drawing me in unto you. You said, if I’ll be lifted up, I will draw me into me.
I thank you, God, that you are lifting up your son by your holy spirit, even through this message. I thank you, God, for those that He is drawing unto Him. I thank you, God. Your word declares Jesus is the desire of all nations. I thank you, God. You are working a deep desire in the hearts of family members, God. Who needs to give their life to Christ. I thank you that in your light, we see light. I thank you, God, you are making us wiser as we behold Jesus. Your holy spirit is transforming us into His same image. We are fixing our eyes on you, Jesus. The author and the finisher of the faith. I thank you, Lord, that you are causing all things to work together for our good. We are called according to your purpose. We love you because you first loved us. In Jesus’ name, we pray and we come in full agreement. That for sure is a done deal.
The Word Of God Is The Will Of God
You know it’s a done deal when you pray the word of God. We establish early on in this particular series, the word of God is the will of God. We went to the Bible verse that God promises. If you pray anything according to His will, He hears you and you know that you have what you’re asking for. It’s a done deal. Every time you take that check to the bank, it’s going to cash. Fill in that check, that blank check God has given each and every one of us, saying anyone who asks receives. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you.
Those, my dear, are blank checks. Feel those things in with the word of God for sure you will see the power and the glory of God released in your life and in your house in ways you did not fathom, period point-blank. Let every man be alive but God is the truth. Even if we’re faithless, God remains faithful. That is where we rest our faith. That is true faith, having faith in the faithfulness of God himself and not our own faith. God told me once before, “Siohvaughn, don’t make faith the God.” He got me because I was highly exalted faith. I got to have more faith. I got to have Him. It was crazy. I’m spinning in circles and God came to break that hamster wheel, praise the name of Jesus and tell me, “Vaughn, I’m God. Besides me, there is no other. Don’t make faith in God.”
I entered into rest as soon as He told me that amazing the power of words from God. It’s amazing how one word from God said that you would be free. He gets you off the wrong course. He firmly roots you in the right place and causes you to be exceedingly blessed. I’m giving you that because He gave it to me. Our key scripture from this series comes out of Acts 16:30-31. If you’ve been with us on this journey and I must say it again, if you haven’t, I want to encourage you to go back and read from the beginning of this particular series. Feed on Christ, feed on the bread of life. As you do that, faith is coming.
You don’t have to focus on faith. Focus on Jesus. When you do that, faith is imparted to you supernaturally. The Bible says, “Faith comes by hearing.” It comes. You don’t go after it. If somebody is coming to your house but you leave your house to go after them. You miss them. Sit tight. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith is coming to God’s house. We are the temple, the house of God. Faith is coming to us. God causes the blessings to come upon us. That’s why Deuteronomy 28, He said, “All these blessings will come upon you.” You don’t have to go off the blessings. God causes the blessings to come upon you. The Bible says, “Surely, goodness and grace has said it.” In the Hebrew, “Will hunt me down and overtake me.”
That’s what it says in the original language. I love the word “surely.” When God says in Psalm 91, “Surely He shall deliver you.” Not maybe, not most likely, not I hope so, not like most times He does. No, surely it’s an absolute. He will deliver you. Don’t you love those ironclad guarantees in the word of God? Put your hope in that. Your hope won’t be disappointed. God will never allow you to be put to shame and you put your hope in Him. He is His word. God is not going to be put to shame. If you understand, if the word of God gets put to shame, it’s putting God to shame. You got to know for certain God is not going to allow in knee human being breath in His nostrils and certainly not a devil to put Him to shame. It’s not going to happen, captain.
With that being said, we might as get happy now. No, it’s the word of God. It’s the will of God if you’ve asked Him for it if a certain wheel indeed comes to pass. No questions asked. It’s an iron-clad guarantee. I want you to go back and feed on that. It is the bread of life and by doing that, faith will come. Next thing you know, you’re full of faith and you’re attracting blessings upon your life where you don’t even have to pray. I’m not encouraging you not to pray. Pray without ceasing. Praying is communicating with God and communication is key especially in an intimate relationship. When you’re praying, you’re communicating with God.
I’m saying it’ll get to the point. So much faith so much word is in you so much revelation is in you that even if you think about it, it manifests. You have the desire. It never leaves your heart. That desire is brewing in your heart. The next thing you know, it’s like, “Ding dong,” there it is. There was no praying, no fasting, no touching and grin. You’ll start realizing miracles faster and less effort, even the effort of praying. Even though praying is the perfect will of God. I’m saying it’ll happen. The Bible says, “Peter’s shadow healed people.” That was not Peter saying, “Come let me lay hands on you. Let me speak a word over you, let me pray for you and let’s fast for this healing.” It’s his shadow. It’s effortless. He is walking down the street. He was kicking up rocks on the dusty streets of Jerusalem and his shadow was healing cancer and getting rid of leprosy.
These are supposedly incurable diseases and this is just a shadow. He’s not talking. He’s not praying. He didn’t even say He wanted it to happen but it was happening. I believe that Peter in those years with Jesus that was a constant hearing and feeding on Jesus is the bread of life. His word is the bread of life. He is the living word. He was feasting on Him continually to the point that His shadow heals. I want to be like Him when I grow up. I’m joking but I’m saying that’s pretty powerful.
We want to be in that place but we want to far exceed it for the glory of Jesus and the good of His church. It says in Acts 16, “He brought them out and said, “Sir, what must I do to be saved?” They say, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. You and your household.” We have the word of God here, which is the will of God. It is the desire of God that both you and your family be saved. Now that we know is His will, we’re taking it to the throne of grace and we’re believing and asking God forward. We will not relent until we see that manifestation. That’s the end of that. I come in full agreement with you. We laid this foundation by the spirit of God with the word of God because that never fails. That’s a sure solid foundation.
The Heart For Family
We saw how in Genesis, in the book of beginnings, God was showing us in no uncertain terms, His heart is for family. That also was a blessing to us. We saw how God’s first relationship with God the Father and the Son. That speaks of family, father and son, parent and child. We then saw that God made Adam and Eve. When He did the first human relationship, married couples were the family springs from. This is family in the book of beginnings. God is a God of order. It is not out of happenstance that that was first. That is the heart of God. It takes preeminence, even over other things that are important. When we allow God to have our lives, even in order, we’ll see God brought in order and chaos was leaving.
This light He spoke in darkness fled. We want God to flood our lives with His order, establishes order flood our lives with His light. In His light, we see the light. His word is light. Jesus is the light of the world. He truly is the answer for all things. God has ordained itself. We might as not go around it. Don’t try to go over it. Don’t waste time digging a tunnel underneath it. Go straight to the source. Straight to the answer. Jesus is the answer for everything you could ever need, want or desire. Always has been, He is right now and He always will be. You want to get your breakthrough faster, go straight for the answer. Don’t skip. Don’t collect the $200 like in monopoly. Get straight to the point.
Jesus is the solution. I want it to expound a little bit. I know we touched on it before but God pressed it upon my heart in between the time of us on the last speaking. God was reminding me for people who may be lacking in faith. God is going to get you to this point where you’re not lacking in faith in this area because you should not be. Don’t worry about it. God will work in you both to wheel in to do. God will supply all your needs. If you need more faith, He promised to supply all your needs. That includes faith if that’s what you need. Glory to God. He’s the answer for all things. God was reminding me if you didn’t have the faith to believe that God is for your marriage specifically. I guess this is on the heart and mind of God, married couples.
If you didn’t have the faith to believe that for your sake, God would do it, God would answer and He would save your spouses then think about what God would do for Jesus. In order for God to answer these prayers and freely unleashes goodness upon you, less any judgment, it took for Him to give up His only son and Jesus to give up His life. To suffer, be marred beyond recognition like no other man. The Bible says, “His vision was marred beyond recognition like no other man.” That’s how badly He was scorched, beaten and whipped with a cat of nine tails, which the Roman soldiers used back then. It was that bad. He then bled, He died, He went to hell, on top of that it’s like, “When it rains, it pours.” You give a new meaning of that, Jesus.
It took all of that for Him to redeem us from our sins, to save us from hell, to save us from the judgment curse and damnation do us because we earned it by sinning. He saved us from that but not just that. He also gave us peace with God and an inheritance. God wanted to do this. This being the only way, God gave up His only son. In order not to save us but to also bless us with all spiritual blessings. To have a blessed marriage is a blessing. God created marriage. God gave marriage to the man. He gave it to His Son, Jesus. If it were bad, tell me this then. Why is it that after Jesus did this perfect work at the cross? He gave up His life. He love not His life unto death.
After all that He did, God gave Jesus a bride. Jesus is a pure and perfect demonstration of love and humility. Laying down His life to save us so that we can have an intimate relationship with God, which would lead us to every blessing we could ever want or desire. God’s response to that was to give Jesus a bride. A wife? Are you kidding me? It must be big. The Bible talks about and I wanted to say that the husbands, the Bible talks about. A man who finds a wife finds a good thing and He obtains favor from the Lord. Your wife is tied to your favor. It also says, “When a man doesn’t do right by his wife, even his prayers go unanswered.” It’s like throwing up a prayer to heaven but it doesn’t reach it because there’s a ceiling that it keeps banging.
It’s hitting that ceiling because you’re not doing right by your wife. I’m selling you, listen now. I love to speak the truth and I hate for you to shoot the messenger. What I told you is the absolute truth. We got two options. We can get upset about it or we can accept it for what it is, knowing that God loves us. This is His best and that giving you this wife was God’s way. A huge way of unleashing even more favor upon you. It’s precious to God, this bride and your wife, who she represents is the church. The body of Jesus Christ. Far be it from God to let you ravage and savage that body like that. Don’t mar the image of Jesus Christ himself.
Don’t allow Satan to let you do that. Not by might have power by God’s spirit, I pray that God will convict every husband in any way that He’s doing that. Not for condemnation but for a conviction that leads to repentance. Real, everlasting change, a true transformation from the inside out, even now in Jesus’ mighty name and every wife probably is cartwheeling saying, “Amen.” I feel you on that. I wanted to share that. That’s what God put on my heart. Not to dive right back in where we left off but to expound a bit on that. Marriage matters to God. God’s covenant that He cut with Jesus is between two perfect beings on our behalf. We’re the beneficiaries of this perfect covenant between perfect beings.
It will never be broken. It is from everlasting to everlasting. No more man does His part and fails and God was willing to do. He is but the blessing didn’t come because man couldn’t hold up His end of the deal. That was the old covenant. Praise be to God that Jesus is our high priest forever. The covenant has been cut on our behalf and He is the one who did it as our representative. Good news because we domes this thing up. I’m glad that I’m not the Messiah and He is. I’m glad that I’m not the savior and I’m the one saved because I would have done a terrible job for you and me. I admit that. I praise the name of Jesus and I thank you, God, for your love and your infinite wisdom to do this so that we can have a shear, solid foundation.
Promise Of God
If you don’t believe yet, that God would do it for you. Know that He would do it for Jesus. He has done the perfect work. It opened the door for all of God’s blessings to freely come upon us. You don’t have to earn it. It has been earned but Jesus did the earning for you. He brought the wages back to you. The payment is the blessings. Every promise of God in the Bible is yes in Christ to say amen. That’s your portion because of what Jesus did and believe that God would not leave Jesus hanging, that He let Him give His life up like that. Go through the hell He went through literally and figuratively to say, “I tricked you.” I got you to do it and I’m not doing anything.
Think better of God and know that He loves His son more until you have the faith to believe the fullness of the truth, which is that God loves you as much as He loves Jesus. I say that boldly and with reverence but it’s the truth because He gave up Jesus for you and me. Swallow that one. Meditate on that for the rest of the day. That’s huge news right there. Religion is going to want to tell you otherwise but that’s what’s written and that’s what the truth is. Row with the truth, tell God, thank you. I don’t understand it. I probably wouldn’t have even done it but praise be to God. Thank you for loving me in a way that’s crazy. Thank you and receive that love. Receive that faithfulness because God is faithful.
We’re going to get into the teaching but as I said, “God is leading me. I want Him to lead me. You want Him to lead me because you don’t want to hear from me. You want to hear from God. I don’t want to hear from me.” Don’t feel bad. If you said amen, don’t feel bad. I don’t feel bad that you did. I think you’re wise. We all need to hear from God. We’re going to let Him do that on this particular platform for sure in Jesus’ name. We’re going to be looking at the children of Israel in the time of Moses when they were held captive as slaves in Egypt. This is coming out from Exodus 12:1-12.
I’m going to read a bit. I like to do that and it’s good. If you’re at home, you’re in your car, wherever you’re at. The word of God is, first and foremost is being released in you. If you’re in your home or you’re at work, that’s good because of being released in those places where you’re at, which is wonderful in your neighborhood. What have you? There’s power in the word of God. God is His word. God is an almighty and all-powerful God. These aren’t words.
Wisdom Is The Principal Thing
This is God himself, the living word. It says, “Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying this month shall be your beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.” Remember, we talked about God saying things that are in the beginning or first taking preeminence of being the first importance. That’s not happenstance or accident. That’s the sovereign will of God being done. Speaking about beginnings and first doing that, He’s also demonstrating to us. It’s the first importance like the Bible says, “Wisdom is a principal thing in all your getting. Get understanding.” Daily, we should ask God like, “Give me the wisdom I need in Jesus’ name,” It’s like one of the first prayers you make. You’re going to need wisdom. I do that myself. It’s become a habit, Praise God, to ask Him for wisdom every single day. If God says it’s the first importance, He can’t lie. Let’s treat it as such.
It says in verse three, “Speak to all the congregation of Israel saying on the 10th of this month, every man shall take for himself a lamb according to the house of His Father. A lamb for a household.” Let’s put a pin there. A lamb for a household. We see again how He is representing the family. God said, “You and your household will be saved.” That’s you and your family. God is not talking about brick and mortar saving that. Of course, He’s talking about you and your family but God even included workers that were there and friends that were over. Neighbors came and formed one household during this time when they had smaller families. God is interested in your family being saved. God is interested in your employees being saved. Those that matter to you, matters to God.
Don’t limit your prayer with the family, as in bloodline. Jesus said, “My family is the one doing the will of God.” I believe the one who created the family. He best defends family. We’re going to roll with Jesus once again. We’re going to humility. “Shake our head,” That’s what He said. That’s what we believe. We shake our heads, yes. It says, “This lamb is for every household.” Not an individual, not 2 or 3, not half, not the majority but the entire household. We’re seeing it as the will of God. It’s the heart of God to save your whole family. It says, “if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the persons. According to each man’s knee, you shall make your account for the lamb.”
We’re seeing the heart of God. He wants to save your family and that includes your friends. Let’s be honest. Sometimes you have a friend, stick closer to you better than a brother. It’s okay. It’s written. May God heal your heart. It’s true. It says, “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year.” A lot of you may know that this points to Jesus Christ. This is that shadow. That’s the hidden pictures of Jesus Christ that are in the Old Testament. We’re going to bring Him out by the spirit of God. Jesus is the Bible. It says the true lamb of God.
He is without blemish representing sin iniquity, transgression. There is no sin in Him. He who knew no sin. He did no sin and in Him is no sin. That’s Jesus, perfect, pure and without blemish fault. You won’t find it in Him. A male, He came as the son of man. Of the first year, Jesus was 33 years old when He was crucified. A young lamb. This lamb of God was young who was slain before the foundations of the world. This points to Jesus when you read this and I would encourage you to go back and do so yourself. That’s the way we meditate. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God but cultivating is necessary. The word of God is being sown like a seed. We know that a farmer sows a seed but he also tends that land. He’ll water it. Sunlight was coming on it. That’s that meditation when you do that.
The harvest is plentiful. It’s healthier. It’s a sure guarantee because remember, Jesus warned, “The enemy will come and try to steal the seed out of their heart.” When it’s still in seed form, it says immediately, which explains why it’s still in seed form. As soon as the sower sows the word, that’s the teacher or the one that the holy spirit is speaking through like He’s doing through me. Sows the word into your heart. The enemy wants to come and try to steal it. Start immediately watering that seed. How do you do that? You meditate on it and you began to mutter that word. If it’s something that is highlighted for you as the way the holy spirit explained it to me. If it’s something that jumps out to you, you went from feeling sad to now you feel glad, whatever that particular word was, even out of that whole teaching that did that for you or what you might’ve felt like that was a confirmation from God.
I was feeling that and this and that or you heard that early. That was part of your daily devotion before you even read the blog and you know that it’s God. Grab hold of that. Meditate on that. Chew on that. Bring that up again as the cow does. Swallow it again. Think about it. Speak about it under your breath. Moderate. Read it again. Imagine it. Do it, set it before your eyes, write it down and memorize it even if you need to. Cultivate that particular word because the one that stands out to you is what God is speaking to you for that day. Give us this day, our daily bread. That is your daily bread. Make sure you get it beyond that seed form because hell can’t steal it.
Jesus is this lamb. It says, “Now you shall keep it until the 14th day of the same month then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.” We know Jesus was crucified at the cross, the true lamb of God. They shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lentils of the houses where they eat. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a picture of this being illustrated for you but it forms a cross. We know how important the blood of Jesus is. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. We come to God’s throne. We come boldly through the blood of Jesus.
The blood of Jesus has justified us from all things from which the law could not justify us. By the law is only the knowledge of sin. It’s telling you what’s wrong, that’s it. It has no power to save you. Focusing on keeping it won’t help you. The Bible calls it a ministry of death and condemnation. You may want to take that off your focus and off your mind. It wasn’t meant to be kept. It was meant so we could know how wrong we were and know we need a savior because we can’t save ourselves by keeping that law. Even if we want to, we’re not dotting every one of those I’s and crossing every one of those T’s. You try it. I have to. It didn’t happen, it won’t happen and it wasn’t meant to happen.
We need a savior. Glory to God for Jesus. It says, “They shall eat the flesh on that night and they’re feasting on this lamb.” That’s what you’re doing now. You are feasting on the true lamb of God, Jesus Christ, the bread of life because He is the word of God. That’s what you’re doing now. We’ll see what it did for these people under the shadow and what it did for them. You need deliverance. Do you need healing? Do you need financial blessing and prosperity? Do you need God to make you the head and not the tail in the Earth even as it already is in heaven? Do you need God to deal with your enemies, strike a blow and the pride that put them down for good? Do you have enemies in your life that you’ve seen and you don’t want to see them again?
New Covenant Of God
This is what the lamb of God did for them and that was an animal lamb. Believe us now are feasting on, meditating on, exalting, putting their faith and trust in the true lamb of God, which means whatever happened for them is a guarantee that happened for us but much greater because it is written. This new covenant of God is built on better promises. The blood of Jesus is not like the blood of lambs and goats that could only cover, not even take away sins for one year. The blood of Jesus, one drop of it, can change the whole world. Jesus is God. He is God in the flesh. His blood is none to no other.
What happened for them is certainly our portion but much more because Jesus’ blood is not commensurate with or equal to the blood of an animal. We know that He’s God. God shed His blood for you. God shed His blood to forgive you. You’re utterly forgiven. God shed His blood to justify you. You are righteous in the sight of God and what was said, what you did repeatedly, nothing and no one can undo it. Whatever God does can not be undone. God is your justifier. He’s already justified you. God is your forgiver. He’s forgiven your debt and wiped it clean. He doesn’t remember it for His own sake. This is what I’ve learned and I have to remind myself of this. God said, “I forgave you and I don’t remember your sins anymore for my sake, not needing to recall the sins. Remember the past.” God is even saying, “I’m doing that for my sake.” Notice He didn’t say for our sake. It is for His own sake. He’s not doing it.
How much more do we need to forget the form of things. Behold, God has done a new thing and you’re a new creature in Christ Jesus. You say, “Siohvaughn, I did that an hour ago.” I wouldn’t care if you did it one second ago. Forget the form of things. That makes it a form of thing as soon it enters the past. Form a thing, forget those former negative things. Paul said, “There is one thing I do. Forgetting what’s behind me.” Pressing forward to what’s in front of me. Beholding God as He does a new thing. The blood of Jesus is constantly cleansing you from your sin.
Focus on that, focus on the true lamb of God. Know that you are forgiven. We’re at a time but we’re going to pick up next time, God willing, where we left off because I do not want to rush this, especially when God is revealing His Son to us like He is and bringing Him out of the shadows and showing us the substance and what it means for us. Practically speaking, this can be applied in our life. It will be transformed in good and positive ways that we long for. We’re discovering that we already have the answer to what we’ve been asking. This is a part of our inheritance. I want to take my time on that for your sake and even my own sake because it’s the holy spirit that takes over.
I love you all. God bless you all. I want to give anyone who may be reading and has not made Jesus the Lord of their life. The opportunity is now to do. I want you to come into this place of peace with God and have these blessings unleashed upon you. God loves you. He’s not the religious figure that the devil himself and mistakenly sincere people have portrayed Him as God. He is who He says He is and God is love. He loves you. He gave His son for you. If you would repeat after me and give your life to Christ, that’s going to be a wonderful thing for you and your household. The Bible says, “If you believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, believe that He’s the son of God, slain for your sins and raised Him up from the dead that you will be saved.”
God, I believe that Jesus is your son. He is the savior of the world. He died and bled for my sins to be forgiven. I receive the forgiveness of my sins. I receive the gift of no condemnation. I receive His robe of righteousness. Clothed me now. Be both my Lord Jesus and my savior for me and my whole household. In your name, Jesus, I pray. It is that simple. You are born again. Glory to God. I love you all. God bless you all and keep and protect you all even. Until we meet again, God bless.
