With God All Things Are Possible (Part 2)

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help?  My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.”  (Psalm 121:1-2)

I want everyone who reads the words here today to know that these are not encouraging words, although you will be encouraged.  These are words of God.  The powerful thing about words from God is that they don’t return to Him void or empty, but they must accomplish the purpose for which God sent them (Isaiah 55:11). God’s words are unfailing truth (John 17:17).  You can rely on God and His word, because God is His word (John 1:1).  The word of God teaches us about Him, His character and His unfailing abilities…no matter the opposition.  If you are someone facing a challenge in your finances, or any area you feel like your abilities or possessions are insufficient, God has sent me to bring you good news: What you are facing may be impossible for you to resolve, but with God all things are possible, and God is both willing and able to help you!

We see examples of this truth throughout the entire bible, but today let’s look at a passage of scripture the Lord gave me to share.  It begins with a crowd that followed Jesus (over five thousand people) and Jesus having saw their need to eat opens up a dialogue with one of His disciples, which was a test, asking the disciple how were they going to feed all those people. The disciple responded to Jesus about what they did not have, pointing to their inability.  Another disciple spoke of what they had, but how it wasn’t enough…pointing to their lack.  Jesus, the only example we are called to follow, looked to God, knowing that God is for us, and although something may be impossible for man (due to lack or inability etc.), all things are possible with God, and He gave God thanks, blessed what He did have and God multiplied what Jesus had until it was more than enough! God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).  What He did then, He is able and willing to do for you now.  Don’t give thought to the impossibility of any challenge you face with man’s abilities and resources, because God is with you and for you…and with God all things are possible!

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  (Matthew 19:26)
