God Will Be Glorified!

churchwide

“You are My witnesses, says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:10-11)

When considering why our lives take certain turns and we are allowed to go through certain challenges, we must remember that God chooses not to lose one (John 6:39). Some of you have gone through things that God allowed for the sake of others’ souls. There are people who need to hear about, or otherwise witness, your miracle, because for some, their lives depend on it, and for others, their very souls. Jesus said it like this once, “Unless you people see signs and wonders you will by no means believe” (John 4:48). We see this in the notable life story of the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego, (who are children of God) as recorded in the book of Daniel. A wicked king of that time ordered their execution and had so much disdain for God that he ordered that His children be put to death for obeying Him. However, after this king witnessed Jesus in the midst of a consuming fire, which was turned up seven time hotter than usual, and which the wicked king threw these children into, protect and deliver His children miraculously from it completely unharmed, he not only acknowledged that God was the “Most High God” but he also testified that God is the One who saved these boys out of his hands and “frustrated the king’s word” (Daniel 3:26 & 28). The king went on further to issue a decree as law in that nation that “any people, nation or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this” (Daniel 3:29). This king went from despising God to attempting to defend Him. The result? God is glorified! He is glorified, not only in protecting, saving, and delivering His children from the impossible odds that were against them, but also in causing this same pride-filled king who was completely against Him, to within the same day turn around and be for Him!

Now, after reading and understanding the truths God has revealed to us through their lives, we should know and believe that Jesus will deliver us and protect us in times of trouble, both for our sakes and for the sake of those who need to witness the glory of our God so that they too will believe in God. I am convinced that there are people who need the miracle we pray for, as much as we do, if not more. Therefore, if you are someone reading this who is currently facing trouble, or feel as though you have been surrounded by consuming fire please remember, God has not forgotten you. He didn’t forget the three Hebrew boys, and He hasn’t forgotten you. But these boys, like all of us, had to let God finish what He started in their lives. They had to trust God and allow Him to deliver them His way and in His time. Trust God; He has a plan for you, which is good and not evil, to give you hope and a future, and no plan of God’s can be thwarted (Jeremiah 29:11). Know, and believe, that if God has allowed fire in your life; this fire will not consume you. The fire isn’t for your destruction; it is for the glory of God!

“When Jesus heard that, He said,“This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11:4
