God’s provision always proceeds the problem. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the first and the last. The devil can never get ahead of Him. That’s why you should not fear or be dismayed.

God Goes Before You (Part 4)
Welcome back, everyone. And thank you so much for joining me here again, on The One Thing That’s Needful Podcast, my name is Siohvaughn Funches. And I’m your host for this show. But before we get into where we left off, let’s take a moment and do what we always do. If you’ve been with me on this journey, you know that we have to acknowledge God.
God is the Alpha and the Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the first and the last. The devil can never get ahead of Him.
So I thank you, God, for the opportunity to get at the feet of Your Son Jesus and to hear him I pray that you give to each and every one of us in our entire households, the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. Let the eyes of our understanding be enlightened that we may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance and the science. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe according to the working of his mighty power, Jesus, I pray that you will expound to us on the Scriptures about the things concerning yourself.
I pray Holy Spirit, you will do what’s promised in God’s word and you will teach us all things and lead and guide us into all truth. Pray, Heavenly Father, that in your light, we will see light and I thank you God for your goodness that you say Surely your goodness, surely your loving-kindness show has said Your Grace, your favor, hunt us down and overtakes us all the days of our life. And we continue to dwell in your house lord, both this year 2022 And forevermore. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
So happy most blessing, wonder feel breakthrough, feel wisdom, feel, prosperity, feel-good success, health, healing and wholeness feel, glory, feel exaltation, feel vindication, feel just this feel the glory and manifested presence of God feel 2022 to you and to your whole house in Jesus name. And I was thinking when I was getting started with this particular message that God gave me in this series, how it would fall right at the onset of the year 2022. And I say, God, a lot of times, you give people words, and it’s like something for that new year. Last year, if you were with this, God gave me actually a message like that new year new you. But in just keeping in line with what I said early on, when the podcast first began, this is all God’s idea. This is for His glory. This is for His purpose. This is for His church. And it’s not for any glory or any purpose of my own. And I want to always be led by the Spirit of God.
So it worked out last year like that. But this year, God had this series going on going holidays fell in the middle of the series, and God let me know, oh, it is very appropriate for the onset of the year. It is intentional. And I certainly lead you, because God has gone into the year 2022 before you, the Lord has gone ahead of you. And we already began to see the blessings and the powerful benefits of God being the God who goes before us. And we began by talking about how God’s provision the Lord spoke to me that word His provision always precedes the problem. And this is just wonderful news. This is certainly the Gospel. The Gospel translates the good news and this is great good news that never fails, that God’s provision always precedes the problem.
Now the Lord spoke to me when a problem pops up right before fear can try to kick him before panic tries to tell you what might happen. You know what I mean before anxiety tries to take the wheel and just turn the vehicle over in light of life at that point. What should be our first response is very important. We know this even naturally speaking, if something happens God forbid it. That’s negative disaster light first responders on the scene are it’s vital. I mean, it’s vital what they do, it’s vital what they don’t do, right. How much greater spiritually speaking because we know well, a lot of us know we’ve been walking with God for quite some time to become more seasoned His spirit by the grace of God in His Word, I have gotten a chance to learn more. But it might have been revealed to you already. That everything happens in the spirit first, Jesus said, God, your kingdom come your will be done in the earth, even as it is in heaven. It’s already done in heaven, in the spirit realm, right? That part that we’re not seeing right now. Let it come to the earth and manifest here.
Jesus is the answer. He is the solution for everything and anything ever faced, are facing, or possibly could face.
So it happens spiritually speaking first, and then it manifests here, which is why God says talks to us about words being so powerful, right? Because we speak something you can’t see a word, but certainly, it will show up what you said. So that’s why we got to be very mindful of our words. And trust me, it’s God preaching to me, like people say, I’m preaching to the choir right now. Right? And I’m the lead singer in this choir. So for sure. God is always speaking to me, and then speaking through me, right, but he’s definitely talking to me. As I said, many times before, you’ve heard me say it is probably a nauseum at this point. On stage, and I’m simultaneously in the audience, right, I haven’t arrived. And it keeps me very humble in knowing so. But God has certainly led us in this because right now, at the onset of this year, what better time is it to get deeply rooted in you that God provides, His provision always precedes the problem? Right? Because God is the provision Jesus called the bread of life, Jesus really is the answer. He’s the solution for everything, and anything ever faced, are facing or possibly could face. He is always the answer. God has ordained it.
So and we’ll get into a bit of that in Romans 8:28 today, but anything that happens in life, let it be a part of our first responder crew, to any trouble that tries to arise any challenge that tries to come against us and to delay we may face any enemy that may rear its ugly head, let our team of first responders be this truth that God’s provision proceeded that problem, right. God’s way of escape is already been made, and God is leading us and directing our steps, we are going to run straight to that solution, that solution will certainly manifest, we certainly will come into it, we certainly will lay hold of it, we will it will be tangible, we will be able to hold it, touch it, feel it, right. All of that in God always, always, always does this ahead of time. God never plays catch up. God is never late. This is why God can’t be late because he’s ahead of time, right to be early God, I think God’s way is to be early as to be on time. And God is always early. He’s ahead of it.
God is the Alpha and the Omega, he’s the beginning and the end, he’s the first and the last, the devil can never get ahead of him. He just simply can’t. It goes against God’s office, it goes against the very essence of who he is. And not only that God determines the end, in the beginning, you see what I mean? So it’s rigged. In other words, it’s these are fixed fights, people have God, they’re fixed fights. And all we have to do our fight is that good fight of faith that fight to remain at risk, that labor that fight inter the wrist, like it, says in the book of Hebrews, that truly is our fight because as far as the solution is concerned, that’s already worked out.
God told me once, stop trying to figure it out. And I’ve already worked it out, right, like so. And that’s easier said than done. But he definitely told me to do that, because he goes before us if you’re born again, if you’re a child of God, if you’ve given your life to Christ, even if you give your life to Christ, at this moment, God will have arranged so knowing you would at this moment knowing you will before this particular podcast episode ended, he knew you’d give your life to Christ. And certainly, you will see he went before you God has for knowledge. He talks about how He predestined us, right? God says, already know the plan that I have for you. They’re good and not evil, to give you hope, and a future that can’t be cut off. So God definitely goes before us. And this is important we learn because Jesus already forwarned us in this trouble on this side of heaven in the earth. There’s going to be some trouble, right? It’s going to be some tribulation sometimes, Right? but be of good cheer. Jesus said I’ve overcome the world.
Now our key scripture for this series comes out of Deuteronomy 31:8 He says, And the Lord is the one who was going ahead of you, He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear this, be dismayed. And it’s the NASB version 1995. And just looking at this scripture, in its context, you can see that knowing that the Lord is the one who goes ahead of you. He’s also the Lord who is with you, he hasn’t gone ahead of you and that means he left you God is able to do this. We can’t wrap our minds around it but God is omnipresent, which means God can be with you, And at the same time God has gone ahead of you at the same time. And so, and in this context of God going before us right in here, the Holy Spirit says, He will not fail you or forsake you, right. And this is why we can not fear, be dismayed, or be discouraged, right, give up and give in, because of the God who goes before us.
So let’s look at this a little bit deeper, and get to get into the teaching that He has for us today. And I know we’re not going to finish this series today, which is fine, because we’re going to take our time, and we’re going to do this one thing that’s neat for anyway, it’s certainly not a waste of time, whoever not because of me, but whoever has taken the time. You know, people have God, tell your friends, tell your family, encourage your spouse, your children, to listen with you, whoever is doing that you bring in your children to the feet of Jesus not to hear me but to hear Christ in me, it is the wisest thing you can do. Because our posture, right our position, and we want to position ourselves early this year now, into this receiving position, right, because that’s it, I know what human beings, you know, is more blessed to give than it is to receive that’s one unto another, us as human beings are better for you to give than it is for you to receive when it comes to God is better for you to receive right and out of the overflow of you’re receiving from God, then you’re blessed, like Abraham said, blessed to be a blessing. That’s the will of God, we love God because He first loved us, you got to let God give it to you, in order for you to give it out.
God’s provision always proceeds the problem
You can’t give out on him, you’re going to be giving terrible things to people and then you’re depleted on yourself. So you let God give to you and give to you and give to you. Not just until your field but literally until you overflow. And it’ll be out of that overflow, right? Those rivers of living water there, they’ll overflow onto the body of Christ onto those who need to be saved. And then there’s your blessing flowing from you. This is the fruit of you being blessed. Now it’s coming out of you now as manifest and now we see your harvest, you’re able to feed others, but not until you’re full enough and overflowing. Are you able to properly feed people that is the will of God.
So if you’re at the feet of Jesus, and you’re doing that one thing, there’s a need for you’re positioning yourself in this receiving mode, because we know Christ has done it all in the new covenant. Our part is to believe and faith comes by hearing, and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing continually like right, the word of Christ. And do I make continually without an eruption? Like you can’t go to work? Of course not. But you want to abide in that vine, right? Abide in me. Let my words abide in you. And you ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you, not by you doesn’t always have to come through you. Right God is still into giving gifts, pure gifts, pure gifts, like your fingerprints will never be on it. He just gives it to you. And he’s quite able to do that without needing to solicit help from URI. Now, does he like for us to co-labor with him? Sure. But does he solicit us to co-labor all the time he doesn’t.
It helps us to remember God is God all by himself, right? And apart from Him, not from par, not apart from him and I or him and you. But apart from him. There is no other God, he is more than enough. But he has us co-labor with him. And we’re blessed to just like be at the right hand of our father, so to speak, you know, working with him and CO laboring with him. And it’s just a beautiful, beautiful thing running this kingdom, this entire kingdom, the kingdom of God, right. And so it’s wonderful.
But let’s look at Genesis here, or we picked off last week and we’re starting at verse 14. And it says, so the Lord God said to the serpent, alright, and this is after Adam and Eve had just partaken of that tree of knowledge of good and evil a representation of the law right God will sell them a steer clear of that right? But they partook of it anyway, now their eyes are like opened up and now they can you know, see the difference between good and evil. And they got a conscious now. And this consciousness is worse than any quote-unquote nagging husband or wife. It’s really bad, right? Like they blink the wrong way. Their conscious is like you that was evil. You disobeyed God? Look at what you did. And so I mean, it’s just terrible, that they opened a door to this and when they did they open the door to death.
So this was a real problem. It is the biggest problem ever. There has never been a problem bigger than this one. Neither will there ever be a problem bigger than this one right here. What Adam and Eve did. It says so the Lord God said to the serpent who deceived Eve, into partaking of the tree because you have done this, you will curse more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field on your belly, you shall go now look at that on your belly you shall go which means he wasn’t on his belly at first. I know he appeared as a snake as a servant. But apparently, he must have been upright at first right? We see snakes sometimes go up, right slither up, right? But apparently, that was the norm then now we see them Slither. And it’s seldom that you see him standing upright. He was the opposite.
The Bible talks about in Roman how even the creation is groaning, waiting for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. So, Adam and Eve’s sin cursed the earth, acres, the animals, it cursed, creation, it cursed mankind. I mean, it went, who I mean, nothing was serious what they did, and no one’s ever done anything like that before. That Broke the real problem. And right there, it looks to me like the real problem wasn’t saying the Bible never says, and you can read this, like in Romans, if you read like Romans three, four, and five, you can see the Bible never says that Adam and Eve never sinned, or will never do anything wrong. You know, like that they never missed the mark or never, you know that they dotted every I crossed every T No, it does not say that whatsoever at all. It just simply says when they partook of this tree of knowledge of good and evil, they knew that then certain things they had done, maybe it was the right thing to do.
And certain things they had done were terrible things to do. Now they just know it, they were aware of it. You know, the law brings about the knowledge of sin. It says in Romans and apparently, this knowledge, this consciousness of sin kills, kills, these people are operating in eternal life before they simply open the floodgates of knowing the difference between good and evil. Okay, and then like, here we are, right? So it says, on your belly, you shall go and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed, we learned that this seed is Jesus Christ, He shall bruise crush your head, and you shall bruise His heel, right here goes right. And the battle between good and evil really broke out then. But this is the first recorded prophecy of the Bible. And God basically makes a promise, right? He makes a promise to the devil himself and lets him know, you’re going to literally get your head crushed, you will be the definition of defeat it henceforth now and forevermore.
Words are so powerful. That’s why we get to be so mindful of our words.
So that word we know haunted him for quite some time. So this is a real problem here, right? This whole same thing, oh, this is a real problem. And we can just bout to how big the problem is based on the solution that God provided for it. And he provided nothing less than the crucifixion, cruel, beating, whipping, Roman soldier, most heinous, most evil type of punishments at that time, and the death and the burial and the going to Hell after of his very own son, and then his resurrection because it still wasn’t over in order to answer the problem that they caused mankind and creation. So you can tell a lot about the problem and just how serious he was by the solution that was needed to answer Okay, and so that should tell us everything God Himself had to bleed and die.
I’d say that’s the biggest problem that’ll ever happen. Because when Jesus was done, and he finished the work when he’s when he went and said, It is finished right, and hanging his head, gave up the spirit. All of that happens. Jesus is resurrected by the Father Himself. And then you see Jesus my goodness, my God. I mean, my Lord and my God gave us his righteousness that’s a wonderful thing. We know that and given us eternal life salvation right you know, that was in after giving us all of that he sat down at the right hand of God. That’s a that right there is a demonstration of I met what I say when I say, it is finished. It has literally been one I’m done with. Right? And when something’s finished, you can’t finish it then because it’s over. And it’s done. We can’t add to what Christ did already. By trying to behave well do right, traveling evil like with that whole consciousness that was the problem in the garden, they opened the door to that consciousness, our consciousness now should be what Christ has done for us. Ask us he went to the cross, as us, died as us, right rose and we’re in him. See that the right hand of the Father God has placed us in Him.
So that’s more than enough we can’t add to it right you can’t finish what was finished. You can’t complete what’s already done. You can’t gain the victory of what’s already won games over actually now we’re just collecting the trophies. Okay? We’re collecting the trophies from the game that he won for us and ask us as a representative of us, He is the Lamb of God. And we know that before Christ, how would have the Jews to sacrifice a lamb that would be the sacrificial animal to make atonement for their sins, right? But Jesus is the Lamb of God, that’s the lamb that God chose, right? Because animal blood was never going to cut it in the first place. And God knew that the solution needed to be something way more serious than animal blood. It needed to be the blood of God Himself. Wow. So that was a pretty big problem.
So this, this biggest problem that ever was, I never could be, look how God wouldn’t before and had the solution. The Bible says in Revelations 13:8, that Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world. Okay. And I love it. The Bible says, In the beginning, was the Word and the Word was with God, right in the Word is God. So Jesus was there in the beginning, even before Adam and Eve, the Lamb of God, slain before the foundations of the world, we know God made the earth and feel that in then made Adam and Eve so they would also walk into this finished thing. They knew what it was to have, you know, venue shooting plant houses, you didn’t feel right, because everything was already done, like the way mothers and fathers set up the nursery before the baby is born, that baby could not provide for itself and it did not provide for itself.
All that baby has to do is be thankful and enjoy the blessings. God sees us as his babies, and he goes before us, and he’s prepared these things. And if you’ve ever been blessed too, prepare baby showers for your own children, maybe as an aunt, or an uncle, you know just how wonderful and exciting it is. You’re not giving that grudgingly. I mean, you’re pumped in the stores you like, Oh, I think you’re gonna like this is so cute. And like, I mean, like, oh my gosh, you’re like, happier than the child probably ever could be about this stuff you give with joy. And that’s us as humans knowing how to give good gifts to our children. How much more is God not only given but giving joyfully and preparing. He delights him to give right God’s Love Languages giving my God told me that one day, and I’ve shared this before, For God so loved that he gave and he stopped the verse right there and just let me hear that in my spirit.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The lord is the one who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
For God so loved that he gave Wow, God is love. And he so loved. I mean, who when he was like, um, about the pouring it out? Out of myself, because I am low. What did he do? Like what did he do? Let’s hear a drumroll, please. Pom Pom Pom Pom he gave. And God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. So God loves to give and he loves to give and prepare things for us. He is the greater and where the lesser and the lesser is always blessed by the Greater. Now let’s look at Second Timothy 1:9. And this is in the G N T the good news version. Right? He said he saved us and called us to be His own people, not because of what we have done. But because of his own purpose in grace. He gave us this grace He gave he’s a gift again, us this grace by means of Christ Jesus, before the beginning of time. Let’s read this again. He saved us and called us to be His own people not because of what we’ve done. But because of his own purpose. And grace. He gave us this grace by means right via Christ Jesus. When did he do it? Before the beginning of time.
God knew Adam and Eve would fall. He already had Jesus, his son that knew the true Lamb of God and His right hand and the grace he knew we wouldn’t need to pay for what we never could afford. We all could sin and everyone was right. We’ve been good at that if we keep it real, okay, but none of us could lift a single fingernail to fix an inkling of it. Wow. Who are you talking about me Nah, baby. And we all really really need God. Okay. And God had that provision. And then it says in Ephesians 2:8 ESV the English Standard Version, for my grace, right graces giving somebody something that they didn’t merit your earn, you have been saved through faith. This is not of your own doing. It is the gift of God, not a result of work so that no one may boast. I do love it all that God has done all he has given us to fix this sin problem. is by faith in His Son Jesus Christ, by the grace of God, the free favors of God.
When did he do it before the beginning of time, he went before us and before Adam and Eve ever fail before the devil if he thought he was smarter than God and tried to tempt them to fall, before they ever fail into the temptation and did the one thing God told him not to do nothing else, no other restrictions, no other restriction, just free, do whatever he whatever, say, whatever, just not this, please, like just freely enjoy without that consciousness of what’s right and wrong, enjoy me. They went, and they did it anyway. But praise be to God, the second Adam was already slain before the foundation of the world we know it takes nothing less than Christ crucified, bloodshed for us to be saved, for the sins, we have committed, that is on us and we are going to commit them because the same is in the blood baby is in the blood at all. We are related to Adam. And proof of that is not that you get the same accolades, Adam, will get the same hair texture, right? That’s not the proof of it, and not you got the same accent? Well, we are just like, Adam, you only this how you know you’re related to Adam and Eve, same CNM is the same as me, you and me.
There we go. We don’t focus on it, we focus on the Son of God. Instead, we focus on the grace of God. Instead, we focus on the forgiveness of God instead. And we focus on this truth, God has gone before us. And I love how God told me that the lesser right is always included in the greater right. And so we know that this sand problem was the biggest problem, right? And God gave this big solution, the biggest solution a thing that will be way bigger than the same problem. It took him to sacrifice his son, right? He is very himself. In Romans 828. He says he who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. How shall He not also with Him, freely give, give, put a pan there give us all things?
When God gave us Jesus, we sinned against God All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God’s answer was while we were still in sin, Christ died for us to send His Son to die for us. Wow. While we’re speaking blasphemy and got our middle fingers to God. That’s what he did. God’s love is unconditional. But he didn’t just do that God has this promise in Romans 8:28. And remind you before he makes the promise that he does His perfect will to freely give you all things before he gets in the lead. This is so important what the Holy Spirit pins now, he who did not spare His own Son, his own son is the most he could do, right. But he delivered them up for us. For us. It’s not for his sake, it’s for our sake, that’s for us. We were going to go to hell, got one going. So it’s for us. Now after he’s done that the biggest thing he could do, he’s given the best gift he could give. How shall He not also with Him freely give us all things people lesser. Any other blessing we need any of the provision we need is already included in the grater and God has already given up freely Jesus for you. Everything else you need is in Jesus and his lesson.
If God didn’t hesitate to put his son on the line as a sacrifice, God is not hesitating to bless you people. He loves you. He’s gone before you in this year. And we’re going to pick up where we left off. God bless you all and keep you. And I just want to ask if there’s anyone here who has not given their life to Christ, that you would just please pray with me. Right? God is not willing that any should perish. And the gift of God has proceeded. You know, the problem of saying anything you’ve ever done, anything you’ve ever thought, is no worse than any of the rest of us. Truth be told, right? And the blood of Jesus, the Son of God is enough for us. It is more than enough for you.
So come on and join us come on and join us right? We got room for one more sinner. So come on in and join us right and be a part it’s gonna be a blast. And you just want to say and repeat after me. Give your life to Christ and receive your inheritance receive everything that Jesus died and bless it to give you in the earth as it already is in heaven. This is what you want God to really bless you heaven squared away that’s taken care of you good on that end when you go. But here you want to bring his kingdom to earth here. You want to experience Days of Heaven on the earth. That’s the perfect will of God for your life. He loves you.
So just say thank you, Heavenly Father, that You have given up your son to die and to bleed in my place and to provide the forgiveness of all of my sins. I do believe and confess. He is the Son of the living God. I do believe and confess that He was crucified for the forgiveness of my sins and he rose again on the third day. Jesus Christ, I believe and declare you alone, My Lord and my Savior, bless me indeed. And enlarge my course, Let your hand be with me and keep me from the evil that it does grief me or cause me pain, in your name Yeshua. I Pray Amen. I love you all talk to you soon.
