“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you…” (Deuteronomy 3:18)
Love undoubtedly desires to be with the ones He loves, and we know that God is love, and He loves us! (1 John 4:7 & Jeremiah 31:3) The Lord recently revealed this truth to me, and showed it to me in His word. God reminded me that when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were as a consequence, estranged from God (See Genesis Chapter 2). God then showed me His heart for His people, and it was never to be separated from us. God demonstrated this truth about His love for us when He sent Jesus to die in our place (because if not we would be eternally separated from Him), and thereby reconciled man back to Himself. God paid the ultimate price to have fellowship and friendship with us…His beloved sons and daughters. God told me that is why when Jesus died on the cross for us (as us, and in our stead), one of the first things that happened as a result of Jesus death, is that the veil (which use to separate man from God) was torn from top to bottom (See Matthew 27:51). The scriptures make it clear that as soon as God justly could He tore down that veil, which man’s disobedience/sin put up. Beloved, after God revealed this truth to me; I am fully, and personally persuaded, nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (See Romans Chapter 8). Love wants to be with the ones He loves, and He has gone to the greatest extent to prove it to us…He sent Christ to the cross for us…so He can always be with us.
“…Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
