No More Condemnation: No Matter What, No Matter When!

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”  (Rom. 8:1).

Some years ago, during a critical moment in my life, the Lord began to teach me Himself how there is no condemnation from Him, no matter what sin committed, and no matter when it was committed.  And because Jesus is the truth, He spoke truth, and once I knew that truth; I was free.  I was freed from guilt, condemnation and shame!  Not only that, but He gave me wisdom to discern when the enemy was trying to condemn me with God’s law…especially through other believers, who lacked this same revelation.  Now, the Lord didn’t just reveal this to me in order to set me and my house free; He also revealed the truth so that I could share it with you, and both you and your whole house will be free indeed as well.  For it is written, whomever the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

When the Lord began to open my eyes about this truth, He took me to a famous story in the bible about a woman who was caught in adultery (John 8).  The Lord showed me that the Holy Spirit intentionally recorded in the bible for us the woman caught in adultery in order to demonstrate Jesus’ gift of no condemnation to believers (John 8). He opened my eyes to see that there were many people in the bible, who had an encounter with Jesus and had sinned, but it wasn’t until the woman, who was specifically caught in the sin of adultery, that Jesus announced that in Him; there is no condemnation. The Lord showed me that the woman in this story represents the church, the entire body of Christ, and adultery represents all sin. The bible repeatedly describes sin itself as adultery (See Jeremiah 2:23, 3:1-3, 3:8). In other words, the Lord is saying that all sin is adultery… unfaithfulness to God.  But regarding adultery, which represents all forms of sin; Jesus doesn’t condemn you, the church.  This means that no matter what sin someone has committed; Jesus doesn’t condemn them.  It is vital that we know this truth, because the world we live in weighs wrongdoings…forgiving some, but counting others as beyond the bounds of decency, and therefore unforgivable. But God has summed all sin up in this…it is adultery, and for the one caught in it; Jesus is saying the same thing to His church (us), as He did to that woman who represented us; “Woman, where are those accusers of yours?  Has no one condemned you? She said, No one Lord.  And Jesus said to her, neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more” (John 8:10).  Hallelujah!  No matter what was done, Jesus won’t condemn us!

Also, the Lord showed me that no matter when the sin is committed, as far as Jesus is concerned; there is therefore now no condemnation (Rom. 8:1).  The Lord intentionally, and specifically, tells us in Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”  God let me know, He recorded the word NOW on purpose for this purpose: That whenever we fall short, we can go to this bible verse and know that at that very moment, there is right now no condemnation.  And God let me know, if we sinned again the very next day, and went back to this verse; there would be right at that moment, “Now no condemnation” (Rom. 8:1).  In other words, God is saying that for the believer, at all times, regarding all sin, there is therefore now no condemnation, because Jesus doesn’t condemn you!

This is good news, my friends; this is the Gospel!

  1. Siohvaughn, I want to thank you for releasing Gods word in your blog. Some of us know the scriptures. And some are not aware. We are to encourage each other as we go through this life. And the best way to encourage one another is through the word of God. When we do that, give our on testimonies, or share lessons that God has taught us. Something supernatural happens. When we allow God to lead us his words are powerful. And they go right to the soul of the person hearing God’s word. And Siohvaughn when we share our testimony with others that is powerful too. I thank God that he is using you and I thank you for allowing God to use you. Through your testimonies God in you have touched more people than you may realize. In addition, a few have shared with me the impact of your words on them and their life. and how it has helped them. Continue doing God’s work. This is a good thing.
